This project is a new construction on a site adjacent to the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center. The new facility will have a 10,000 SF main level containing 4,000 SF of exhibit space, genealogy and research spaces, offices, gift shop and a meeting room that can use used for special presentations and also rented out to the public. There is an elevator that goes down to a 6,000 SF basement where the archives and rotating exhibits are stored.  Site planning includes an outdoor exhibit space, separate receiving area, and future connection to the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center.
