Inclusive Restrooms

In 2016, YHR Partners was asked to inventory and study toilet rooms for West Fargo Public Schools. This study looked at aspects of privacy, handicap accessibility. security, and inclusivity. The conclusions of this study was to create an innovative approach to remodel current toilet rooms to individual private single-used toilet stalls with a common handwashing area open to the hallway.

The results of the implementation of the study has shown success. Incidents of bullying and behavior issues in these toilet areas has been virtually eliminated. As of 2024 YHR Partners has introduced this design concept to eight schools and continues to strive for the continual integration of this design solution.
